Have you always worked in real estate? If not , what's your background?
No I haven't always been in this line of work. In fact, for a while I was working abroad in Europe and Asia producing TV commercials. This all stems from when I first finished school. I went to catering college and started my own business doing catering for feature films and TV commercials and this lead me to producing commercials later on. I eventually decided to come back home to Australia and decided it was time for a new beginning and a new career, so I settled on real estate.

Why property management?
I like property management because of the longevity of the relationships, I like seeing the relationships through and learning about people and their stories in the process.

What makes a great property manager?
You genuinely have to like people, you have to want to help them out. You have to be diplomatic, but you also always have to be on top of legislation. Attention to detail is also super important!

What’s your favourite thing about your job?
My favourite thing about my job is my clients, I love my clients. Getting to know them and their stories. Everybody has something to bring to the table.

What’s the most fun you’ve ever had at work?
I like it when people are satisfied and when we exceed expectations.

Do you have any hobbies?
Yes, I do! I knit and crochet. I mainly knit rugs, I call them blankets of love, I do them for my friends and family. At the moment I’m working on one for my niece’s 21st birthday, it’s massive!

What are three things you couldn’t live without?
Wine, my car & my wool stash.

Where is your favourite place in the world? Whether it’s your couch at home or a cafe?
Oia in Santorini, Greece. You know, I actually often think about this place and in particular, one memory I have of it. I was on my way to dinner but I was running late and I walked down by the water. It was a warm evening and there was a breeze coming in from the ocean and I just stood there. The sound of people clinking glasses and laughing, the feel of that salt water breeze and the cute little lights of all the restaurants shining out onto the footpath. I just stood there for about 15 minutes, it was beautiful!

Do you have a secret talent? If so what is it?
Probably just my cooking, I can make a mean Pavlova!

What do you love most about MB?
Because we really do strive to do our best, because we are constantly trying to improve and are always keeping on top of technology, education and training. I like that we are always striving to be better.
