We had been planning to downsize for quite some time, but had never been able to fit it into our busy work schedule. We then met Jill Lawson & Daniel Blagg at an open house inspection for another property in our street & were immediately impressed with their low-key but none-the-less genuine and professional approach to promoting that house. After the very successful auction of that property, Jill & Daniel approached us to suggest we could undertake an “off market” approach to selling our house, as they claimed there were a number of disappointed buyers from the other property who could be interested in our house, as there were some similarities between the two. Although that campaign didn’t prove successful, we were very pleased with the overall approach taken by Jill & Daniel, &, particularly, their knowledge of the market/buyers and the advice they gave regarding preparation of the house for sale. We therefore had no hesitation in agreeing to have them take the house to a full auction marketing campaign. They immediately sprang into action, and in less than a week they had arranged photos of the inside of the house, organised for a floor plan to be prepared, printed brochures, instigated an internet advertising campaign, put up a sign out the front and held the first official open house! Although at times we had some uncertainty about the likely outcome, Jill & Daniel never wavered, but were continually confident of achieving a successful result, to the extent that, 10 days before the auction they recommended that we not accept an offer we were seriously considering, as they felt a better result could be achieved. Sure enough, almost out of the blue within 2 days we were made “an offer we couldn’t refuse”, and 2 days later contracts were exchanged – 6 days before the scheduled auction date. We therefore have no hesitation in recommending Jill & Daniel in particular, as well as their entire support staff, to any prospective vendors, and feel sure they will achieve a similar outcome to ours, with Jill’s & Daniel’s concerted efforts.
Now all the excitement is over, Marg and I would like to thank you most sincerely for your efforts in selling the family home. I found the last few days in the lead-up to last Saturday particularly excruciating but when we drove down the street to meet you to see the cars parked up and down was very exciting. I reckon there were more cars than people! Anyway the car's indicated they probably weren't all neighbours so things looked promising for the auction and so it was. Your excellent management of the process from advice on getting the house organised and appropriately de-cluttered, photo shoot, advertising recommendations and open house pricing strategy all paid off on auction day when Vic was able to help put the icing on the cake. We acknowledge your efforts to extract the last dollar from the buyers who were still in it at the end. We could not have been happier with the price which puts us in a good place for doing the necessary work on our new Naremburn abode. Again, thanks for your professional approach, reassurance when needed and all round niceness. We now look forward to settlement on 12 October when we both get paid. You are costing more than I thought but there's no complaint from us.

Jill Lawson, of McConnell Bourn real estate, was the principal agent for the recent sale of my parents’ family home of over 44 years. In every regard Jill exceeded expectations, providing exceptional support and making the sales process as easy as possible. Furthermore, she achieved an amazing sale price for the property. My parents are both nearly 90 years old. My mother had recently moved into a nursing home and I was busy helping my father move into an independent living apartment near to her. I also work full-time. There is much to do when moving and it can be stressful. Given our circumstances, it could have been particularly challenging. However, thanks to Jill’s considerate and tireless efforts, this was not the case. Jill was particularly sensitive to my father’s needs and preferences. The house was painted throughout, new carpet laid, floorboards polished, light fittings and door handles replaced and the garden tidied. It was transformed into a refreshed, updated home with strong appeal to younger buyers and those not wanting to undertake these tasks themselves. Jill liaised with myself and my father throughout the renovation, which was quickly completed in time for the planned listing. This could not have been achieved without her efforts. The home was expertly styled and marketed. Jill and her team communicated with buyers with professionalism and honesty. Jill kept us fully informed throughout the campaign and gave guidance when appropriate. Jill went beyond the call of duty to assist us with the renovation and presentation of the home for sale. Her consideration & assistance made the selling process easy for us. We were at all times confident we were in capable hands to achieve the best possible result.
